| | | | | | | | | Background: | The Nassau County Board of County Commissioners has been awarded a Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Office of Criminal Justice Grant for the Northeast Florida Regional Public Safety Training Facility - Phase 2 in the amount of $5,950,000.
This funding is allocated for the state fiscal year 2022-2023, contract beginning July 1, 2022 and ending June 30, 2023, with allowable extensions.
The proviso language from FDLE’s General Appropriations Act (GAA) copied below provides information on the legislative intent for use of these funds:
From the funds in Specific Appropriation 1253A, $5,950,000 in nonrecurring fixed capital outlay projects for Northeast Florida Regional Public Safety Training Facility –Phase 2.
FDLE will distribute these funds in accordance with section 215.97, 215,971, 215.981 and 215.985, F.S. for state financial assistance. Performance and claim reports will be required as identified in the executed agreement. These reports are necessary to meet Legislative and Governor’s Office reporting requirements for performance and return on investment. The attached file sets forth those specific requirements.
