| | | | | | | | | Background: | The Concerned Citizens of Hilliard are coordinating a walk in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The event will take place from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2023.
The walk will begin at the Hilliard Substation on then travel west on County Road 108; north on Oxford Street; north on 6th Street; and ending at the Hisbon Baptist Church located at 37214 W. 6th Street. The event is in the limits of the Town of Hilliard, however use of County Road 108 will require approval from the County since it is a County owned and maintained road. The organizers are working with the Sheriff's Office on their traffic plan. | | Request: | | Consider request from the Concerned Citizens of Hilliard to utilize a small portion of County Road 108 for the MLK Walk on Monday, January 16, 2023; and authorize Chairman to sign letter granting approval. | | Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens: | There is no financial impact however parades increase the quality of life to residents within the community.
