Background:
Nassau County Emergency Management has been awarded the Community Emergency Response Team-Citizens Corps (CERT/CC) Grant for 2022-23 in the amount of $10,000 to be used for emergency planning, organization, equipment, training, exercise, management and administration costs.  This grant has a required dollar for dollar match which has been included in the Emergency Management budget.
Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Contract No. CM3290, and associated documents, for the 2022-2023 Volunteer Florida, Community Emergency Response Team-Citizens Corps Grant, in the amount of $10,000.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
The CERT grant will assist in provided additional funding to the Nassau County Emergency Management.
Action Requested and Recommendation:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Contract No. CM3290, and associated documents, for the 2022-2023 Volunteer Florida, Community Emergency Response Team-Citizens Corps Grant, in the amount of $10,000.
