| | | | | | | | | Background: | The Public System Radio Maintenance and Replace Plan, includes a redundant prime communication tower site to ensure failover and is fault tolerant for the public safety system. This plan will also replace the current inventory of portable and mobile radios which are at their end of life and end of support. Communication towers serve both Nassau County and the City of Fernandina Beach. The public radio system is currently used by Nassau County Sheriff's Office, Nassau County Fire Rescue, Nassau County Animal Control, Nassau County Road & Bridge and the Emergency Management.
The total amount of Contract No. CM3293 is $6,499,638.70.
