Item Title:Set Public Hearing for Revision to the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 23 1/2, Article III

Background:
The Parks and Recreation Department has been working on the creation of a new Sports Policy and accompanying contracts and agreements. These revisions to Chapter 23 1/2, Article III of the Code of Ordinances will adjust the language to mirror that in the new documents. Staff recommend setting a Public Hearing on January 9, 2023.
Request:
Set Public Hearing to Consider an Ordinance of the Board of County Commissioners, Amending Article III, Division 2, Recreation Commission, Specifically Section 23 1/2-56 Membership, and Section 23 1/2-58, Authority of the Recreation Commission; Providing for Severability; and Providing for an Effective Date.  Staff recommends January 9, 2023.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
If approved, these revisions will provide streamlined processes for recognized youth sports organizations throughout Nassau County.
