Item Title:Approve the Resolution Authorizing the Chairman to Sign the Agreement for the Resurfacing of CR 121 from CR-119 to US-1 sign the Grant Agreement

Background:

Capital Improvement Project Management has received a Local Transportation Projects State Funded Grant Agreement from Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for repairs and resurfacing of CR 121 from CR 119 to US 1.  FDOT is agreeing to a maximum participation amount of $9,000,000 for the project design, construction, and construction engineering inspection. The completion of the project is on or before 12/31/2026.  This grant agreement is part of the total $18 million to be received for this project.

Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Resolution authorizing the execution of a State-Funded Grant Agreement, Contract No. CM3337, with the State of Florida Department of Transportation,, and associated budget amendment, regarding the design, construction, and construction engineering inspection of resurfacing and improvements to CR 121 from CR 119 to US 1. 
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
FDOT's maximum participation of $9,000,000 will be reimbursed to the County.  These improvements are beneficial to the health and safety of Nassau County citizens.  The appropriation, awarded during the 2022 Legislative Session is for CR 121 from CR 119 to US 1. The County received a previous appropriation in 2022 for $9,000,000 for the resurfacing and reconstruction of CR 121 from Duval County to CR 119.  
Action Requested and Recommendation:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Resolution authorizing the execution of a State-Funded Grant Agreement, Contract No. CM3337, with the State of Florida Department of Transportation,, and associated budget amendment, regarding the design, construction, and construction engineering inspection of resurfacing and improvements to CR 121 from CR 119 to US 1.
