Item Title:	Recommendation of Awards/Execution of CM3347 Cold Plant Asphalt Mix to Duval Asphalt Products, Inc.

Background:
On January 11, 2023, Nassau County received one (1) bid in response to Invitation to Bid NC23-005, for Cold Plant Asphalt Mix. Staff recommends Duval Asphalt Products, Inc., be awarded the contract for Cold Plant Asphalt Mix, in an amount not to exceed $200,000. Cold Plant Asphalt Mix is critical in maintaining drivable roadways for our citizens living on county maintained paved roads.
Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Contract No. CM3347, with Duval Asphalt Products, Inc., for delivery of Cold Plant Mix Asphalt, in an amount not to exceed $200,000.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
The Road Department requires a contract for this material in order to maintain paved roads. Without a contract guaranteeing the prices and availability, Nassau County runs the risk of a negatively impacted budget with the possibility of much higher prices and no guarantee of product delivery.

Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Contract No. CM3347, with Duval Asphalt Products, Inc., for delivery of Cold Plant Mix Asphalt, in an amount not to exceed $200,000.
