Background:
On February 27, 2023, the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners entered into a contract with Olsen Associates, Inc. to provide Professional Coastal Engineering Services for the South Amelia Island Shore Stabilization Project. Under this contract the County is now requesting that Olsen and Associates, Inc. conduct a permit-mandated year-2 beach and sound survey and coastal engineering analyses in accordance with the FDEP approved project physical monitoring plan.
Request:
Approve and authorize Chairman to sign Contract No. CM3339-WA2, with Olsen Associates, Inc., in the amount of $144,850 for beach and sound survey and coastal engineering analyses.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
The fees for this service were established under the contract CM3339 and the current budget is already funded for this project. Funds are provided through the SAISS-MSBU.
Action Requested and Recommendation:
Approve and authorize Chairman to sign Contract No. CM3339-WA2, with Olsen Associates, Inc., in the amount of $144,850 for beach and sound survey and coastal engineering analyses.
