| | | | | | | | | Background: | On May 26, 2022, Nassau County entered into a grant agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the design, engineering, construction, and construction engineering inspection of the reconstruction and resurfacing of CR 121 from the Duval County line to CR 119, with FDOT reimbursement up to $9,000,000.
The County advertised for Request for Qualifications for design and engineering on August 5, 2022, with a bid due date of September 22, 2022. Six firms submitted proposals. An Evaluation Committee meeting held on November 2, 2022 and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. was selected by the committee for recommendation to the Board to begin contract negotiations. On December 21, 2023, the Board approved Staff to begin negotiations with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.
