| | | | | | | | Background: | The Nassau County Solid Waste Department has requested and been tentatively approved for purchase of a 2024 Kenworth T880 Roll-Off Truck in the 2023-2024 Fleet Replacement Plan. This equipment will be vital to the hauling of trash and recyclables for the Solid Waste Department. This equipment is also in high demand with a build date starting in January 2024 with twelve to sixteen weeks after production for delivery. The vendor, Kenworth of Jacksonville, has recommend the County issue a Letter of Intent for us to secure a spot in the order queue and lock in current pricing. By securing Nassau County's spot in the ordering queue, it ensures a quicker delivery of the much-needed equipment.
This Letter of Intent should not be construed to be legally binding or a commitment of funds at this time.
