| | | | | | | | | Background: | On August 7, 2023, the Tourist Development Council approved Resolution 2023-135 which recommends to the Board of County Commissioners the use of Tourist Development Tax (TDT) dollars to engage several professional service providers to execute services in fiscal year 2023-2024. The TDC Resolution finds the Strategic Plan and use of TDT funds will enhance visitor experiences, promote tourism on Amelia Island, and grow the tourism market.
Nassau County and Starmark International, Inc. previously entered into Contract CM3310 on February 13, 2023 for integrated computer management system services (website). Nassau County and Starmark International, Inc. wish to request a Resolution approving the use of Tourist Development Tax dollars for integrated computer management system services and to amend the Contract terms and conditions and increase the compensation in the amount of $583,675 for 5 years (year 1: $174,700; years 2-4: $119,700; year 5: $49,875). This contract amendment will replace the services of a prior vendor for minimal savings. | | Request: | | Consider the following: 1) Approve a Resolution authorizing the use of Tourist Development Tax dollars for integrated computer management system services with Starmark International, Inc.; 2) Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Contract No. CM3310-A1 with Starmark International, Inc. for integrated computer management system services in the amount of $583,675. | | Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens: | | The Amelia Island CVB Digital Marketing Email Program will focus on the increasing tourist travel to Amelia Island and Nassau County, thus creating revenue for Nassau County.
