Background:
Circuit Court Judge, Michael Kalil, has reached out to the Board of County Commission Chairman, to name a Commissioner, or their designee, to serve on the 4th Judicial Circuit Juvenile Justice Circuit Advisory Board. Commissioner Farmer has indicated a willingness to serve as the BOCC's designee to the 4th Judicial Circuit Juvenile Justice Circuit Advisory Board. Request:
Appoint a member of the Board of County Commissioners, or their designee, to serve as the Nassau County representative on the 4th Judicial Circuit Juvenile Justice Circuit Advisory Board.

The purpose of each juvenile justice circuit advisory board is to provide advice and direction to the department in the development and implementation of juvenile justice programs and to work collaboratively with the department in seeking program improvements and policy changes to address the emerging and changing needs of Florida’s youth who are at risk of delinquency.
