The State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program fosters public/private partnerships to create and preserve affordable housing. Nassau County is committed to developing and improving housing opportunities through the SHIP program by potentially reducing the cost of housing for eligible households, increasing the number of homeowners, and increasing the County's existing housing stock.
The SHIP program provides funds for eligible local governments as an incentive to create partnerships that produce and preserve affordable homeownership. The program is designed for to serve very low- (50%), low- (80%), and moderate- (120%) income families.
Nassau County recently conducted a program evaluation of its Florida's Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP) Program. In part, it was observed that staff levels are low relative to the size and complexity of the program.
As such, the County issued a Request for Proposal NC23-062 for State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program Administrative Services. Of the three respondents, Anser Advisory Consulting, LLC scored/ranked the highest.
