Background:

Florida Statutes 420.9076 requires the creation of an Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and sets forth the categories of members for that committee in order for Nassau County to participate in the State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program.

 

On June 10, 2019, the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 2019-109 which renamed the Nassau County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee to the Nassau County Essential Housing Advisory Committee.  Section 420.9076, Florida Statues, sets forth the requirements for the name and composition of the statutorily mandated Affordable Housing Advisory Committee.

 

Nassau County desires to conform to the current requirements of Section 420.9076, Florida Statutes, including renaming the Nassau County Essential Housing Advisory Committee to the statutory name of the Nassau County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and thereby rendering Resolution 2019-109 obsolete.
