Background:

In September 2015, Evelyn McDonald with Arts & Culture Nassau made a presentation to the Board regarding the display of arts in public places and asked if the Board would be interested in creating a public arts Ordinance. The Board indicated that they would like to review the Ordinance that the City adopted establishing an art in public places program.

 

Attached is a copy of Ms. McDonald's presentation, as well as City Ordinance No. 2012-03. Arts & Culture Nassau is again requesting the Board to consider adopting a similar Ordinance to expand the display of arts throughout the County.
