| | | | | | | | | Background: | | The Sheriff's Office is requesting to remove $2,500 from the Crime Prevention Fund to donate to the Nassau Alcohol Crime Drug Abatement Coalition (NACDAC) to help sponsor their coalition's Know the Law book.
The Nassau Alcohol Crime Drug Abatement Coalition seeks to educate, communicate, and be a leader in community collaboration in an effort to eliminate drug, tobacco, and alcohol use among our youth/young adults while at the same time reducing criminal behavior associated with substance, thus reducing crime within Nassau County.
Pursuant to Florida State Statute, Section 775.083, the County in consultation with the Sheriff must expend monies from the Crime Prevention Fund for crime prevention programs in the County. As such, I am requesting that the County approve the use of $2,500.00 for the Nassau Alcohol Crime Drug Abatement Coalition.
