Item Title:Amendment to Agreement with Nassau Habitat for Humanity, Inc.

Background:
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 2000-49 (copy attached), the County entered into an agreement with Nassau Habitat for Humanity, Inc., to convey County owned property to Habitat to be used for the construction of affordable housing.   The parcel identification number that was conveyed is 00-00-31-1800-0062-0012.  At this time, the construction has not yet begun and Nassau Habitat for Humanity, Inc., is requesting that the Board grant an extension to September 30, 2018 in order to allow the completion of the construction of the affordable housing on this parcel.
Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Amendment No. 1 to Agreement between Nassau County and Nassau Habitat for Humanity, Inc., Contract Number CM2413, for an extension to September 30, 2018 for the completion of construction on Parcel No. 00-00-31-1800-0062-0012.
