Item Title:Continuing Contract for Miscellaneous Engineering Services for Nassau Amelia Utilities (NAU), Bid No. NC16-033 Evaluation Scoring of Short-listed Firms

Background:

On January 19, 2017, five (5) proposals were received in response to the Request for Qualifications for Continuing Contract for Miscellaneous Engineering Services for Nassau Amelia Utilities (NAU), Bid No. NC16-033 (see Tab A). The Evaluation Committee authorized by the County Manager (See Tab B) met on Monday, March 13, 2017 to evaluate/score and rank the proposals for short-listing purposes (See Tab C). The results are as follows:

The Evaluation Committee agreed to hear presentations from the top three (3) ranked firms.

 

Oral Presentations & Question/Answer session was held with the top three (3) short-listed firms on Friday, April 21, 2017 (See Tab D). The results are as follows:

As a result of the Evaluation Committee’s final scoring, the Committee is recommending the award go to the top ranked firm GAI Consultants, Inc.

 

Note: Proposals submitted by the above referenced firms and overall scoring by the Evaluation Committee are available for review upon request to Contract Management.

Consider the following: 1) approve the Evaluation Committee's scoring and ranking of the Request for Qualifications (RFQs) received in response to Bid No. NC16-033, Continuing Contract for Miscellaneous Services for Nassau Amelia Utilities; and 2) authorize staff to begin contract negotiations with the top ranked firm, GAI Consultants, Inc.
