Background:

On Wednesday, January 18, 2017, four (4) bids were received in response to the Invitation to Bid for Storm Drain Repairs (Various Locations), Bid No. NC16-034 (See Bid Tabulation/Comparison; Bid Summary - Tab A). This Bid No. NC16-034, required an amount increase of $122,000 and approved at Board of County Commissioners 03-27-17 meeting.

  

Requisition CT29-17 (Tab B) is submitted for the Board of County Commissioners approval per Contract Management recommendation.

Request:
Consider the following: 1) award Bid No. NC16-034 to Insituform Technologies, LLC, in the amount of $295,949 for Storm Drain Repairs (various locations); and 2) authorize the Chairman to sign associated Requisition. Funding Source: 03402541-546510 SDCR.

Obtain lowest prices using the Bid Process for services.
Action Requested and Recommendation:

  1. Request consideration and approval to award Insituform Technologies LLC, Storm Drain Repairs (Various Locations) Project, Bid No. NC16-034, for the bid amount of $295,949.00.

  2. Request Board of County Commissioners approval of Requisition CT29-17 per Contract Management recommendation.
