Item Title:Hacks Paradise Easement Appeal APL17-005
Date:7/18/2017
Department:Engineeering
Background:

Background:  Staff has received a request for an appeal from Joseph and Cynthia Fridley, to access their property (09-1N-25-0000-0006-0020) on an existing non-paved 60’ easement known as Hacks Paradise and to be the 2nd assigned address accessing from this easement.

Public Works Director denied the request for variance as shown in attached letter, due to the fact it does not meet the requirements set forth in Nassau County Ordinance 99-17 (as amended) stating the easement has to be constructed to county standards (including drainage).  Hacks Paradise is currently a one lane roadway. The front portion of the roadway does not appear to have drainage.  The rear half of the roadway appears to have minimal drainage.
