Item Title:Local Match for Beach Renourishment

Background:

The City of Fernandina Beach has received notification from the US Army Corps of Engineers that the local funding request for oversight and management of the 2017 Periodic Nourishment of the Nassau County Shore Protection Project is $864,000, or $432,000 each from the City and County. It is requested that the Tourist Development Council fund the local match of $864,000. The deadline for payment is August 1, 2017.

 

The TDC held a Special Meeting on July 20, 2017, and voted to fund local share at 100%. Please see attached letter from Gil Langley.
