Item Title:Wildlight GNIS

Background:

The County Manager is in receipt of a letter from Raydient which indicates that they would like Wildlight to be the domestic name for designation within the US Geological Survey USGS) Geographical Names Information System (GNIS). The geographical area identified for use of this domestic name is reflected as the Central and Southern Planning areas within the Detailed Area Specific Plan #1 (DSAP #1) of the East Nassau Community Planning Area and illustrated in the attached map.

 

In order for them to proceed, they must obtain a no objection letter from the local government. If approved, attached is a letter for the Chairman's signature.

Request:
Discussion of Raydient's request for use of Wildlight as the domestic name for designation within the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Geographical Names Information System (GNIS); and consider authorizing the Chairman to sign two no objection letters for use of the domestic name for the Central and Southern Planning areas within the Detailed Area Specific Plan #1 of the East Nassau Community Planning Area.
