Item Title:Discussion of Derrick Henry Customized Signs

Background:
In January 2016, the Board approved a Resolution in support of a request to  the Florida Department of Transportation to create and place customized signs in Yulee in recognition of 2015 Heisman Trophy Winner, Derrick Henry. Fast Signs drafted plans for monument signs (see attached) and provided an associated cost estimate of $27,490 for both signs and permitting costs. It was determined that one sign would be placed on US 17 on the School Board property and one on SR200/A1A on the County property where the old Sheriff's Administration Facility was located. It was determined that the Board would solicit donations to help fund both projects. As of August 1, 2017, only $5,685 has been raised. Staff seeks Board direction on how to proceed.
