| | | | | | | | | Background: | | The current approved CIP (as of 16/17) includes a $220,000 storage area network project (project #SANS). The SAN's run all of the county servers and are reaching end of life/support. Because of improvements in technology and the price drops that came with it, the actual cost will be less than originally budgeted. We are seeking to modify the CIP to allow for the purchase of 105 new Cisco desk phones from that project budget. The department had been allowed to purchase phones in the past but it has taken years and few have been purchased due to departments having to prioritize other projects. | | Request: | | Approve to modify the current adopted Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) from $220,000 to $184,825 for the Storage Area Network (SANS) Project; and approve desk phone purchase of $35,175. Funding Source(s): 01132516-564002 SANS to 01132516-552640 ITVEQ. | | Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens: | There would be no effect in future years if allowed to modify the SAN CIP to allow of the phone purchase out of the 2016-2017 budget.
