Background:
A the July 10, 2017 meeting, the Board set a public hearing for Monday, August 14th at 6:00 p.m. to consider an Ordinance establishing an Art in Public Places Program. This was done at the request of Arts & Culture Nassau for the purpose of displaying temporary and permanent art on County owned property to contribute for aesthetic enhancement of the community. The Ordinance was discussed at the August 14, 2017 meeting, however was subsequently continued to the August 28th meeting.
Request:
Continue consideration of Ordinance of the Board of County Commissioners of Nassau County, Florida, establishing an Art in Public Places Program, providing for purpose; providing for definitions; providing for establishing committee roles and responsibilities; providing for ownership and maintenance; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date.
