| | | | | | | | | Background: | | The Planning and Zoning Board has voted to recommend that the Board conduct public hearings for the consideration of an ordinance that would include medical marijuana treatment center dispensing facilities as a permitted use within those zoning districts that allow pharmacies and to provide distance restrictions. Pursuant to SB 8-A, a county may not enact ordinances for permitting or for determining the location of dispensing facilities which are more restrictive than its ordinances permitting or determining the locations for pharmacies licensed under Chapter 465, Florida Statutes.
