Item Title:SAISSA Annual Rate Resolution

Background:

This Annual Rate Resolution levies assessments on all commercial and residential properties within the South Amelia Island Shore Stabilization Municipal Service Benefit Unit (SAISS-MSBU). The 2017-18 Maintenance Assessment supports required Monitoring, Operating and Design/permitting expenses for FY18.  The SAISSA Board of Trustees unanimously recommended approval the Annual Rate Resolution and the Levy of $782,250.


Request:
Approve a Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Nassau County, Florida, relating to the South Amelia Island Shore Stabilization Maintenance Assessment Area; providing authority and definitions; confirming the Preliminary Rate Resolution; approving the Maintenance Assessment Roll; providing for reimposition of the Maintenance Assessments; providing for collection of the Assessments pursuant to the Uniform Assessment Collections Act; providing for the effect of this Resolution; providing for severability and an effective date.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:

The assessments are paid by the commercial and residential property owners within the SAISS-MSBU so there is no direct impact on general citizenry
