Background:

On November 28, 2016, representatives from Raydient did a presentation to the Board of County Commissioners regarding the East Nassau Stewardship District. Included in that presentation was information on the benefits of a Stewardship District such as how infrastructure built to accommodate new growth is paid for entirely by those choosing to reside within the District. Attached are pages from their presentation with additional information.

 

 

The public-private partnership between Nassau County and Raydient was designed to work in tandem towards meeting public recreation needs.  Recently it has comes to staff's attention that the Stewardship District is issuing bonds for needed infrastructure inside of Wildlight however nowhere in the bond is money designated to meet public recreation needs previously discussed.
