Item Title:Detention Center - Chiller - New Electrical Service FPL

Department:Facilities Maintenance Department.
Background:

The Chiller installation at the Detention Center requires additional Electrical Service: Secondary Delivery Voltage 277/480 Volt Wye, Three Phase, Four Wires, as per the attached Specification for the Precast Transformer Location.

The Exhibit "A" show the suitable location that will need to be compacted and level to 3" below final grade for FPL Transfer Pad and install Secondary/Service from Pad to Building as specified.

County will need to provide FPL with good and sufficient recorded Easements, including legal descriptions and survey work to produce such easements for the installation and maintenance of its electrical distribution.

FPL has provided a Perpetual Easement executed on February 12, 2001 with the Board of County Commissioners. This document should cover the above mentioned requirement.

 The Department will need to get these signed and returned to FPL for the new electrical service FPL is providing for the new chillers at the Detention Center.


Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Acceptance of Specifications form from Florida Power & Light, for additional electrical services needed for the Detention Center Chiller Project.
