The Northeast Florida Transportation Commission in conjunction with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), the North Florida Transportation Organization (NFTPO), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Northeast Florida Regional Council (NEFRC), and other local government units worked to develop a Regional Multi-Modal Transportation Plan (PLAN). This PLAN was drafted to address unmet regional transportation needs. The plan features projects to enhance and coordinate transit services across the region. Bicycle and pedestrian trails, highway, freight, and rail projects are also included.
A draft PLAN was presented to the five constituent counties in the Northeast Florida Region (Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Johns Counties) via public hearings. The public hearing in Nassau County was held on December 12, 2016. A copy of that presentation is attached for informational purposes. The final plan was adopted by the Regional Transportation Commission on April 12, 2017.
The Regional Transportation Commission has requested that each constituent county approve a Resolution adopting the Regional Multimodal Transportation Plan as adopted by the Northeast Florida Regional Transportation Commission (RTC). Alan Mosley with the Regional Transportation Commission will be in attendance to accept the Resolution. |
