Item Title:Joint Meeting with School Board

Background:

On January 9, 2012, the Board established an annual Joint Meeting with the School Board to be held on the third Tuesday of January at 6:00 p.m. This year's meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 16, 2018. The Planning & Zoning Board meetings are also held on the third Tuesday, however in previous years, those meetings took place at 7:00 p.m. Their meeting time has changed to 6:00 p.m., therefore, the Board must select a new time for the Joint Meeting with the School Board.

 

Staff suggests that the Board keep the annual meeting on the third Tuesday in January, but recommends that the time should be changed from 6:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Staff has reached out to the School Board to ensure they are okay with this change and hopes to have a response prior to the Dec. 11th Board meeting.

 

Staff also requests that the Board to discuss topics they would like included on the agenda for the Joint Meeting.
