Background:
The Library applies for E-Rate grant funding each fiscal year. E-Rate funds provide a discount of up to 80% on data line expenditures. Each grant cycle has five forms that require a signature. I am requesting that the BOCC give permission for the Library Director to apply for the 2017-18 grant, and after reviewing the initial grant form, be given permission to file the remaining 4 forms. The four remaining forms all verify the original document submission. No matching funds are required. Every public library in the US qualifies for E-Rate grant funding. The grant is awarded on a first come, first serve basis.
Request:
Approve the FY 2017/2018 E-Rate Grant Application and authorize the Library Director to sign the remaining four forms as the filing windows open.

Grant provides up to 80% of funding needed for data line connections for the Library System.
