| | | | | | | | | Background: | | The Annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elgance will be held on Saturday, March 10th and Sunday, March 11, 2018. They are requesting to close the northbound through lane of A1A/South Fletcher Ave., starting where the northbound left turn lane begins to the white stopping line at the intersection with Amelia Island Parkway. The left turn lane from northbound A1A/South Fletcher Ave. onto northwest bound Amelia Island Parkway would become a through and turn lane. The closed northbound lane on A1A would be controlled by a Nassau County Sheriff's Deputy who would only allow shuttle buses to enter. A second deputy would be at the north end of the closed land to control the entry of shuttle buses back into traffic. Lanes would be closed on Saturday, March 10th and Sunday, March 11th from 6am-7pm. In order to do this, a Temporary Closing of State Road Permit is required.
