Background:

The proposed amendment to the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) of the Comprehensive Plan is comprised of one parcel totaling 11.90 acres.  The request is to amend the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) designation of Agriculture (AGR) to Commercial (COM).

A proposed rezoning has also been filed (R17-010) for the same property from Open Rural (OR) to Commercial General (CG).  The proposed rezoning would make the zoning consistent with this Future Land Use amendment, if approved.

Due to the continuance of this item to the December 19, 2017 Planning & Zoning Board meeting and the need to received comments from all State reviewing agencies prior to adoption pursuant to Ch. 163, F.S., Staff respectfully requests that this item be continued to the February 12 meeting.

Request:
Consider CPA17-009, filed by Equipment Options Direct, LLC, owner, and Gillette & Associates, Inc., seeking to amend the Future Land Use Map for a change in classification  of approximately 11.90 acres from Agriculture (AGR) to Commercial (COM). Property is located on the west side of US 1 between Roy Booth Road and Casa Wood Lane, Callahan area. (Note: Staff requests continuance of this item to February 12, 2018)
