| | | | | | | | | Background: | The Florida Housing Finance Corporation requires the recipient of SHIP funds to present a new Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) every three years. Nassau County must submit for approval a LHAP for State Fiscal Years 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21. The LHAP must be approved by the Nassau County Board of Commissioners by May 2, 2018. The current LHAP expires on June 30, 2018 and the new plan will become effective on July 1, 2018.
| | Request: | Approve the Resolution adopting the Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) for State Fiscal Years 18/19, 19/20, 20/21 and approve the Chairman to sign the Certification page of the Plan (Exhibit D).
| | Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens: | A new LHAP is required in order to receive SHIP funding (when available) which assists citizens with the purchase and/or rehabilitation of affordable housing.
