| | | | | | | | Background: | At the April 10, 2017 Board of County Commission meeting Work Authorization (CM2287-WA01) was authorized to Peters & Yaffee, Inc. to perform the Engineering Services for the South 14th Street Resurfacing/Reconstruction from Sadler Road to Amelia Island. The Work Authorization was for $81,512.50. While completing the design work it was determined that a cross drain at Ocean Breeze Drive and 14th Street has failed. It is recommended that the cross drain be replaced prior to resurfacing 14th Street. Replacing the cross drain will require survey data and additional design services from the Engineer in the amount of $16,880.96.
Staff anticipates the additional fees will be reimbursed from the Florida Department of Transportation SCRAP agreement CM2405.
