Item Title:Keep Nassau Beautiful Board

Background:

At the October 18, 2017 meeting, the Executive Director for Keep Nassau Beautiful, Karen Klima, appeared before the Board and indicated that they are searching for a County representative to serve on the Keep Nassau Beautiful Board. This topic was scheduled for discussion at several Board meetings and on January 17, 2018, the Board suggested that the County Manager's Office seek individuals interested in serving on this Board.

 

The County Manager's received resumes from several individuals and they were forwarded to Ms. Klima for review. However, she notified us that she was actually looking for a County Commissioner to serve on the Board and since none were available, they would make a selection. She indicated they do not need to Board to appoint a citizen to represent Nassau County.

 

This agenda item is being provided for informational purposes and to clarify the record that the Board does not need to appoint anyone to represent the County on the KNB Board.
