Item Title:Parade for Sarcoidosis Education Awareness

Background:

The Concerned Citizens of Hilliard are organizing a parade for Sarcoidosis Education Awareness. The entire parade will be within the Hilliard town limits, however approximately 1/2 mile would take place on County Road 108. The Town of Hilliard, on behalf of the Concerned Citizens of Hilliard, is seeking the Board's approval for the portion of the parade taking place on the County Road. The number of participants is unknown at this time however the parade will feature floats, antique cars, and walkers. The Nassau County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that they will assist with traffic and crowd control.

 

The Concerned Citizens of Hilliard are a small non-profit organization and they do not have general liability insurance. Therefore, if any participant or spectator is injured on County Road 108 during this event, the County would be liable.

 

 

 

Request:
Discuss/consider request from the Concerned Citizens of Hilliard to hold a Sarcoidosis Education Awareness Parade on approximately 1/2 mile of County Road 108 (within the limits of the Town of Hilliard).
