| | | | | | | | | Background: | This Resolution authorizes the execution of an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) between the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners and and the City of Fernandina Beach City Commission for creation of a housing needs assessment. This study was budgeted $7,500 in the Nassau County FY 17-18 budget and $10,000 in the City of Fernandina Beach FY 17-18 budget.
Nassau County will be contracting with the University of Florida's Shimberg Center for Housing Studies to complete a comprehensive needs assessment for all of Nassau County. Following completion of the assessment, City and County Staff will work to update the Local Housing Assistance Program (LHAP) and determine appropriate amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code. It is anticipated the study will be completed during Summer 2018.
The Fernandina Beach City Commission will review this Interlocal Agreement at their 5/1/2018 meeting.
