Background:

At the Dec. 20, 2017 meeting, the Board approved a request to obtain an appraisal for a piece of County owned property located on the southwest corner of A1A/First Coast Highway and Ron Kolar Way. The appraisal from Buzz Wagand & Associates, Inc. has been received. Staff seeks the Board's direction as to whether or not they wish to declare this property as surplus and advertise for bid. It is also requested that the Board establish a minimum acceptable bid.

Florida Statute mandates that sale of County owned property be advertised in a newspaper of general circulation, calling for bids for purchase. A copy of the Statute is attached for informational purposes.
