Background:

The Nassau County Planning & Zoning Board formed a subcommittee known as the Western Nassau Heritage Preservation Committee (WNHPC) to discuss the future of western Nassau and to work with the Department of Planning & Economic Opportunity to determine how they can assist in planning efforts.

 

The WNHPC has held numerous community outreach and community roundtable events where the public could exchange ideas and be involved in actively shaping the future of the west side of the County. Planning Director, Taco Pope, will be providing an update regarding their efforts to the Board of County Commissioners.
