Item Title:NC18-12 Recommendation of GAI for SR200/A1A Corridor Design Plan

Background:

On June 26, 2018, six (6) proposals were received in response to the SR200/A1A Corridor Design Plan Request for Qualifications Bid No. NC18-012 and were opened on June 27, 2018 (see Tab A).  The Evaluation Committee, consisting of Taco Pope, Becky Bray, Adrienne Burke, Kailey Porter, and Sue Ann Alleger, met on July 6, 2018 to evaluate/score and rank the proposals for short-listing purposes. 

As a result of the Evaluation Committee's scoring, it was the consensus of the evaluation committee to hear oral presentations from the top two ranking firms: GAI Consultants and VHB on August 1, 2018. 

As a result of the Evaluation Committee's final scoring, the Committee is recommending the award go to GAI Consultants, Inc.


Request:
Consider the following: 1) approve of the Evaluation Committee’s scoring and ranking for Request for Qualifications (RFQs) received in response to Bid No. NC18-012, SR200/A1A Corridor Design Plan Request; and 2) authorize the Interim County Manager and OMB Director to conduct negotiations with the top ranked firm, GAI Consultants, Inc., and to bring back a final contract for Board approval.
