Item Title:Minnesota Multistate Contracting Alliance for Pharmacy (MMCAP)

Background:
Nassau County Fire Rescue is pursuing a grant for Narcan.  In order to receive the grant, the BOCC must join the Minnesota Multistate Contracting Alliance for Pharmacy (MMCAP).  MMCAP is a free, voluntary, public sector group purchasing organization for government-authorized facilities and is operated by the Materials Management Division of the State of Minnesota's Department of Administration.  It combines the purchasing power of its members to receive the best prices available for the products and services for which it contracts.
Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Member Facility Agreement with the Minnesota Multistate Contracting Alliance for Pharmacy, Contract No. CM.2574, for purchase of medical supplies for Nassau County Fire/Rescue.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:

Membership is free and the BOCC participation is voluntary.

Action Requested and Recommendation:
Fire Rescue recommends that the BOCC become a member of this organization in order to allow us to get grant approval for Narcan.  We request that the Chairperson sign the Member Facility Agreement.
