Item Title:FDEM Hazardous Material Planning & Prevention Program

Background:
Provides grant funding to the Local Emergency Planning Committees to
conduct planning and exercise activities in order to mitigate the effects of a
release or spill of hazardous materials and maintain compliance with sections
201 and 304 of the federal Community Right-To-Know Act and to local
governments to conduct hazard analyses for those facilities located in their
jurisdiction that store/handle hazardous materials.
Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the State-Funded Grant Agreement with the State of Florida, Division of Emergency Management, Contract No. CM2580, for award of Hazardous Materials Planning & Prevention Grant Funds totaling $2,801; and authorize the Chairman to sign associated Budget Amendment.
