On June 20, 2018, eight (8) proposals were received in response to the Request for Proposals for Disaster Debris Management (Removal Services) (Bid NC18-014) –(See Tab “A”). The Evaluation Committee consisting of Justin Stankiewicz, Becky Bray, Brady Rigdon, and Billy Estep met on July 20, 2018 to short list six firms (See Tab B and C) based on their criteria scoring listed in the RFP. Those firms chosen were (in ranking order) 1) Phillips & Jordan Inc., 2) Bergeron Emergency Services, 3) CrowderGulf, 4) Ceres Environmental Services, 5) JB Coxwell, 6) D&J Enterprises. Emergency Management wanted to have a greater number of firms on contract should Nassau County encounter an event requiring these services.

As a result of the Evaluation Committee’s proposal evaluation, the Committee recommends proceeding with contracts with the top six ranked firms as listed in the table above. There is no cost to the County for these contracts unless we have an event and activate these services in the aftermath. The Evaluation Committee recommends contacting the firms in order of their ranking in the event of activation
