Background:
The Northeast Florida Regional Council's Board of Directors represent Baker, Clay, Nassau, Duval, Flagler, Putnam, and St. Johns Counties. Each County appoints 4 representatives: 2 County Appointees (one of which must be a County Commissioner), 1 Municipality Appointee, and 1 Gubernatorial Appointee. Commissioner George Spicer has Nassau County's Commissioner Representative on the Board of Directors since May 2015, however his last day in office was November 19th. The Board must now appoint a County Commissioner to take his place. The Board meets every other month at the NEFRC's office on Park Avenue in Jacksonville.
