Background:

On Tuesday, August 21, 2018 four (4) bids were received in response to the Invitation to Bid for WWTF Clarifier Rehabilitation Project (NC18-010), (see Bid Opening Minutes August 22, 2018).

Upon evaluation of the bids submitted, it is recommended that SGS Contracting Services, Inc., as the lowest responsive bidder, be awarded the bid for NAU WWTF Clarifier Rehabilitation Project. This award will include rehabilitation of both clarifiers.

The attached bid tabulation reflects the results of the bids submitted for rehabilitation of NAU clarifiers. The award is based on a base bid - Clarifier 1, $359,700.00: Alternate #1 - Clarifier 2, $368,000.00, and Alternate #2 - Materials upgrade for 1 & 2, $70,000.00, totaling a contract amount of $797,700.00.

Request:

Consider the following: 1) award Bid No. NC 18-010 to SGS Contracting Services, Inc. in the amount of $797,700.00 for NAU WWTF Clarifier Rehabilitation; 2) authorize the Chairman to sign the Notice of Award and Agreement with SGS Contracting Services, Inc., Contract No. CM2619
