Background:
On October 22, 2018 (Tab K) the Board authorized a Public Hearing to consider an application submitted by Jimmy L. and Carol T. Higginbotham, owners to abandon a 10’ utility easement as recorded in plat book 5 page 128. 
Request:
Approve a Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Nassau County, Florida, vacating a ten (10) foot easement located within Lot 16 of the Plat of the Pines Unit 2, as recorded in Plat Book 5, Pages 128 and 129, of the Public Records of Nassau County, Florida.

Action Requested and Recommendation:

Engineering Services recommends proceeding with public hearing to coincide with the attached application for vacation, abandonment or closing of road, roadway, street, alleyway, lot or subdivision plat for a portion of The Pines Unit 2 as shown on attached map.

Authorize the Chair to adopt resolution closing, vacating, and abandoning of those certain rights of way or the renouncing and disclaiming of any right or interest of said Nassau County, Florida, and the public in said rights of way, alleys, and easements.
