Background:

At the August 15, 2018 meeting, County Attorney/Interim County Manager notified the Board of a Florida Job Growth Grant Public Infrastructure Grant proposal received from the Nassau County Economic Development Board, for installation of industrial grade water/wastewater lines to service the broader west side of rural Nassau County, including the Crawford Diamond Industrial Park.

 

Attached is a copy of the completed grant proposal and the Department of Economic Opportunity's Florida Job Growth Infrastructure Grant Agreement for the Board's review and consideration.  

Request:
Discussion of the Florida Job Growth Infrastructure Grant Agreement with the State of Florida, Department of Economic Opportunity, for $17,400,000 in grant funds to be used to provide water, wastewater infrastructure, natural gas and two rail spurs to the Crawford Diamond Industrial Site.
