| | | | | | | | | Background: | The proposed ordinance would amend the Land Development Code to permit plant nurseries with a retail sales component to be permitted in the Open Rural (OR) zoning district, subject to certain supplementary development standards to be specified in Sec. 28.16 of the Code. Wholesale nurseries are already permitted in the OR district. Article 32, definitions will also be amended to include the definition for a plant nursery as well as definitions for the terms wholesale and retail.
Supplementary development standards will include lot area; permitted and prohibited uses and characteristics of use; access and parking standards, and screening and buffering.
